Key Ingredients & Benefits
Dihydroxyacetone DHA
The active ingredient within all fake tanning products is known as Dihydroxyacetone or DHA and it is a completely natural substance. DHA is derived from natural sugars and it reacts with the amino acids and protein, particularly Keratin, within the skin. DHA only adheres to the outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis, and is approved by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
Pentylene Glycol
Pentylene glycol is widely used in cosmetics & beauty products as a humectant and preservative to create moisture binding and antimicrobial properties. Working as an emulsion stabilizer, solvent and a broad-spectrum antimicrobial, Pentylene glycol is also a moisturizer that helps make the product feel great on the skin. It is also widely used to improve water-resistance in sunscreens.
Erythrulose
Erythrulose is derived from sugar and is enriched with anti-aging, advanced hydration and skin firming properties. It also reduces the effects of streaking and increases the longevity of fake tans.
Aloe Vera Powder
Aloe vera is composed of 75 active components like vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that fight disease and support the body’s overall wellness. Its inflammatory and analgesic qualities can help to alleviate skin ailments like psoriasis, itchy rashes, sunburn, and dryness.
Capryl Glucoside
Capryl Glucoside is a surfactant used in tanning products to bind and disperse ingredients evenly across the skin surface, making it a highly useful ingredient in self-tanning products.
Floraesters K-100
In general, floraesters enhance skin barrier functions and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.
